Family Portraits with Shutter Fever Photography

The kids had great fun during the photoshoot and they knew what to expect, as we previously had the
pleasure of photographing them for one of our festive Christmas shoots. We also remembered the
merits of a little bribery with a few well placed sweets which greatly enhanced the posing process!
The girls looked stunning on the day in their beautiful pastel dresses, perfectly complimented by the
casual jeans and tops worn by the boys. Mum and Dad also stayed neutral with white tops and blue
jeans, an ideal combination for a family shoot. With years of experience photographing families we
always feel neutral is best when it comes to dressing for a family photoshoot. We usually
recommend keeping colour to a minimum as bright colours or patterns can take from the essence of
the photoshoot and be too distracting. The focus for a family photoshoot should be on the family
with little or no distractions, which is why we also use a neutral background to eliminate intrusion
from surrounding elements.

Family Moments, Captured Forever

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Angela, Anthony and their beautiful family to our studio
here in Charlestown, Co. Mayo for their family portrait. They had always wanted to get a family
portrait but like a lot of things it got put on the long finger. Family photography is one of our
passions here at Shutter Fever so we were thrilled when we got the call to book this photoshoot.

Family Moments, Captured Forever

By the end of the shoot, Angela and Anthony were wondering why they didn’t do it sooner!
Sometimes life just gets in the way and we’re all guilty of putting things off, but remember the kids
don’t stay this age forever. When they are grown up and living their own independent lives, what
better memory to have than this, hanging pride of place on your wall. This gallery print in a modern white frame is timeless
